Elon Musk said he has held a video call with Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong and other senior executives to explore what he described as a “real partnership” between Tesla and the South Korean technology group. Musk did not detail the areas of cooperation under discussion, stating only that the conversation focused on leveraging the strengths of both companies. Tesla already sources some semiconductors and camera modules from Samsung, while Samsung has been seeking to expand its role in electric-vehicle components and autonomous-driving technology.
