Lt Gen (retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Home Affairs Adviser of Bangladesh, clarified that the three Bangladeshis recently repatriated from Malaysia are not extremists or militants. He stated that these individuals were returned due to the expiration of their visas and emphasized that there are currently no terrorist activities within Bangladesh. Additionally, the Home Adviser mentioned that the government is taking comprehensive measures to ensure fair elections and address mob violence in the country.
