The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has reiterated its firm stance against mob violence, emphasizing that no individual is above the law. Senior BNP leaders, including Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, have condemned the culture of mob violence and administrative inaction that fosters unrest. Fakhrul also accused Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the Awami League of responsibility for the killing of thousands during July protests, calling for party-wide accountability and urging the government to expedite elections for the country's welfare. Meanwhile, the National Citizens Party (NCP), led by Nahid Islam, has declared it will not participate in any election without the implementation of the July Charter. Islam has criticized the current government for undermining the aspirations of the Liberation War through the 1972 constitution and accused the Sheikh Hasina administration of surviving for 16 years with India's direct and indirect support, involving enforced disappearances and killings. He also called on citizens to choose young and alternative leadership and reaffirmed the commitment to securing the July Charter.
