Brazilian Finance Minister Fernando Haddad said on Monday that a virtual meeting he had scheduled with U.S. Treasury official Bessent has been cancelled. Haddad told reporters his team immediately asked the Treasury Department to find a new date but was informed a rescheduling would not be possible. No reason for the cancellation was disclosed, and neither side has announced an alternative format for continued discussions.
