Brazil's Ministry of Tourism, led by Minister Celso Sabino, announced a comprehensive investment plan totaling approximately R$90.4 million to boost tourism in the state of Pará. The funding includes R$73.1 million dedicated to infrastructure projects such as the renovation of waterfront areas and paving access roads to local attractions. Additionally, R$13 million will support cultural events across more than 20 municipalities. These initiatives are part of the "Turismo em Ação – Edição Pará" program, which also focuses on preparations for the COP30 climate conference. In line with this, air connectivity to Belém, Pará's capital, will be expanded by 23.3% in domestic seat capacity during COP30, enhancing national and international access. The Ministry also established the Câmara Temática de Transportes Multimodais e Infraestrutura no Turismo (CAINFRA) to improve coordination among air, land, and water transport modes. Separately, a survey by Airbnb and MindMiners revealed that 73% of Brazilian tourists plan to travel within the country during the July vacation period. Meanwhile, in the region of Bauru, more than R$20 million in parliamentary amendments have been allocated to improve essential public services including health, education, security, and infrastructure.
