Former Corinthians coach Adenor “Tite” Bacchi said he has recovered from the mental-health issues that kept him out of management earlier this year, telling reporters he is “tô de boa” and that “não existe super-homem.” The 63-year-old spoke at Pacaembu Stadium on Friday during an event commemorating the 13th anniversary of Corinthians’ 2012 Copa Libertadores title, a campaign in which his side went undefeated and defeated Boca Juniors 2-0 in the final. Tite confirmed that health concerns were the reason negotiations to return as Corinthians’ head coach stalled in recent months, adding that he will discuss the matter in greater detail “in the appropriate moment.” He will instead direct a Corinthians Legends team—featuring 2012 heroes such as Emerson Sheik, Alessandro and Paulinho—against Boca Juniors Legends on Saturday, 5 July, at 15:00 in the Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu. The friendly, branded “Reencontro de Gigantes,” forms the centrepiece of celebrations recalling Emerson Sheik’s two-goal performance that secured the club’s first Libertadores crown on 4 July 2012. Ticket sales for the exhibition match remain open, with prices ranging from R$60 to R$375, according to organisers.
