In 2024, the United Kingdom recorded 69,184 reported rapes, equating to 114 incidents per 100,000 people, making it the country with the highest rape rate per capita in Europe and the developed world. This figure represents an increase of over 800% in reported rapes in England and Wales since 2000, when there were 7,801 cases. The UK has surpassed Sweden, which had 10,167 reported rapes in 2024, or 96 per 100,000 people, placing Sweden third globally in rape rates per capita. Poland, by contrast, reported approximately 550 to 600 rapes in the same period, with a rate of 1.5 per 100,000 people, indicating a much lower incidence. The rise in reported rapes in Sweden over the past 50 years exceeds 2,300%, with 2024 figures showing a rate 64 times higher than Poland's. Other European countries such as France and Spain report significantly lower rates, with France at 41.8 and Spain at 1.48 per 100,000 people. The UK’s prosecution rate remains low, with only 2.6% of reported rapes leading to charges in 2024, despite a 34% increase in suspects charged by the Crown Prosecution Service. Conviction rates are declining, and victim withdrawals from cases are increasing, with up to three-quarters of cases withdrawn. Additional social issues in Sweden include nearly 60 no-go zones with gang crime, almost 100 bombing attacks in 2025, and approximately 68,000 women affected by genital mutilation. The data highlights a stark contrast in reported sexual violence across European countries and underscores ongoing challenges in addressing and prosecuting such crimes in the UK and Sweden.

United Kingdom has the highest rate of r*pe of developed nations as of 2022. UK net migration in 2022 was a record high with a vast majority arriving from countries outside the European Union. The UK needs to close their borders and start mass deportations immediately. https://t.co/VwYMbuSkwn
🇬🇧 UK RAPE PROSECUTIONS RISE - BUT STILL WAY BEHIND In 2024, 69,000 rapes were recorded. Just 2.6% ended in charges. That’s up (!!) slightly from last year. But even with CPS charging 34% more suspects, conviction rates are falling - and victim withdrawals are climbing fast. https://t.co/7qx7lyEMul https://t.co/BLY5n04FCv
