Marvell Technology Inc. has completed the divestiture of its Automotive Ethernet business to Infineon Technologies AG for $2.5 billion in cash. The transaction closed on 14 August and removes the unit from Marvell’s books effective 15 August, eleven days into the chipmaker’s third quarter of fiscal 2026. The Automotive Ethernet division had been projected to contribute between $225 million and $250 million in revenue during fiscal 2026. Marvell said the sale will not have a material impact on its non-GAAP earnings per share, but it will streamline the company’s product portfolio ahead of its 28 August earnings call, when it plans to discuss second-quarter results and give third-quarter guidance.
