China successfully launched the Tianzhou-9 cargo spacecraft to the China Space Station on July 14, 2025, at 05:34 Beijing Time. The spacecraft completed a rapid rendezvous and docking with the station in approximately three hours, a method now established as the standard for China's cargo missions. Following docking, the Shenzhou-20 crew entered Tianzhou-9 to begin transferring over 1.5 tons of cargo, including more than 190 varieties of space food, new Feitian spacewalk suits marking a technological advancement in extravehicular equipment, a new spaceflight suit, and a core muscle exercise device. Additionally, Tianzhou-9 conducted China's first in-orbit refueling operation. This mission represents the fourth cargo flight during the China Space Station's application and development phase, contributing to the station's ongoing supply and technological upgrades.
