On July 11, 2025, the China National Pavilion Day was held at Expo 2025 Osaka, marking the 90th day since the pavilion's opening on April 13. The China Pavilion has attracted over 760,000 visitors, averaging nearly 10,000 visitors daily. The pavilion, noted for its distinctive design and popularity, is one of the largest and most prominent at the expo, which features 158 countries and seven international organizations under the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives." Vice Premier He Lifeng emphasized China's high regard for the Osaka-Kansai Expo, highlighting the pavilion's exhibits such as the twenty-four solar terms imagery, lunar soil samples from both sides of the moon, a large model of the manned submersible "Jiaolong," and humanoid robots. The day featured a large-scale cultural performance themed "Brilliant China, Drawing the Future Together," including artists from Shaanxi Province showcasing Chinese culture. He Lifeng also referenced the historical and strategic ties between China and Japan, mentioning the recent meeting between President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, which reinforced the comprehensive promotion of the China-Japan strategic mutual benefit relationship. Additionally, the expo is the first to be held at a maritime site, coinciding with the anniversary of the great maritime explorer Zheng He’s voyages 620 years ago, symbolizing the "Maritime Silk Road" spirit of peace, cooperation, openness, inclusiveness, and mutual benefit that China advocates in international cooperation.
