China has developed the world's largest hydraulic turbine, a 500-megawatt impulse turbine runner weighing 80 tons with a diameter of 6.23 meters, manufactured by Harbin Electric. This achievement sets a new benchmark in hydropower technology. Additionally, China has successfully conducted a flight test of a 3D-printed mini jet engine, marking progress in advanced manufacturing. In Inner Mongolia, 34 new independent energy storage power stations began construction in the first half of 2025, with a total installed capacity of 14.8 million kilowatts, accelerating the development of new energy storage systems that stabilize and regulate the power grid. On July 2, the power supply load from mainland China to Macau reached a historic high of 1.039 million kilowatts, surpassing the previous record by 0.19%. Since June 30, 2025, the cumulative electricity supplied from mainland China to Macau has exceeded 78.5 billion kilowatt-hours. Moreover, the world's largest clean energy corridor along the Yangtze River, consisting of six major hydropower stations—Wudongde, Baihetan, Xiluodu, Xiangjiaba, Three Gorges, and Gezhouba—operated over 100 generating units simultaneously, setting a new annual record. This corridor maintained daily power generation above 1 billion kilowatt-hours for 21 consecutive days, supporting power supply during high-temperature weather and breaking historical records for the period.
