These attacks involve compromised email accounts and company servers to spread the malware and exfiltrate sensitive data. In addition to Poland, phishing campaigns are also affecting small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in Romania and Italy. Meanwhile, a separate cyber espionage group, XDSpy, is targeting companies in Russia and Moldova using advanced spear-phishing techniques to deploy malware that can gather passwords and exfiltrate data. Furthermore, North Korean hackers are reportedly stealing military secrets, while Chinese threat actors are attacking Japanese organizations with malware like LODEINFO and NOOPDOOR, potentially compromising sensitive corporate networks over extended periods.
