Un muerto y varios heridos dejan disturbios en el Movistar Arena en Bogotá: así quedaron las instalaciones https://t.co/XQo8JTpe8Z
A Damas Gratis concert scheduled for 6 August at Bogotá’s Movistar Arena was called off after violent clashes inside and outside the venue left one person dead and at least five others injured, according to local police. Authorities say the disturbances were triggered by rival football fan groups who forced their way through a breached entrance and fought with knives and other objects, overwhelming private security. The fatality occurred outside the arena when the victim was reportedly struck by a vehicle; the incident is under investigation. Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán condemned the violence as “absolutely reprehensible” and convened an emergency meeting with concert promoters, the arena’s management, the city’s security secretariat and the Bogotá Metropolitan Police to establish responsibility and tighten future safety protocols. Movistar Arena stated that it prioritised the safety of attendees by suspending the show and pledged full cooperation with law-enforcement inquiries. The cancellation cut short the Argentine band’s Colombian tour finale, while several injured spectators remain hospitalised.
