The inaugural Bandemia Festival held on August 2, 2025, at Sala Urbana in Naucalpan, Estado de México, was canceled following organizational issues and crowd disturbances. Conflicting reports emerged regarding the cause of the unrest: some sources cited ticket overselling leading to a clash between attendees and organizers, while festival promoters and Protección Civil stated that access restrictions were implemented for safety reasons, not due to overselling. The resulting crowd control measures sparked confrontations between attendees and police. In response to the incident, the Naucalpan municipal government announced it will review the security protocols of Sala Urbana and may consider suspending the venue. The festival organizers committed to processing ticket refunds within 15 days. Separately, a violent altercation broke out between fans of Olimpia and Cerro Porteño following the Paraguayan football derby.
