Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro announced measures to strengthen internal security through the implementation of the third phase of the strategic 3T plan, focusing on reinforcing the Cuadrantes de Paz within communal circuits. As part of these efforts, Maduro promoted 12 officers of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to higher ranks, including five from the Bolivarian Army to major general, two from the Navy to admirals, two from the Air Force to major general, and three from the National Guard to major general. He also awarded the "Order to Peace" to officials from the SEBIN and DGCIM for their roles in maintaining peace. Maduro emphasized the importance of unity among military forces, police, and organized civil society to guarantee Venezuela's peace, stability, and sovereignty. Additionally, he proposed to Colombian President Gustavo Petro the creation of a joint binational military force along the border to combat illegal armed groups, drug trafficking, and illegal mining. This proposal received praise from Petro, who highlighted the benefits of military coordination between Venezuela and Colombia. The Cuban Chapter of the Antifascist International expressed solidarity with Maduro amid ongoing economic pressures from the United States. Over 400 Latin American leaders have also voiced support for Maduro against U.S. aggressions.
