Organización Ardila Lülle said Postobón remains fully Colombian-owned, dismissing reports that the century-old beverage producer had been sold to Guatemala’s Central America Bottling Corporation or any other foreign group. In a statement dated 15 July, the conglomerate acknowledged it has held preliminary discussions with several Latin American beverage companies to explore strategic alliances aimed at strengthening production, logistics and commercial capabilities. It stressed that the talks do not involve transferring ownership of Postobón or its assets. Postobón, founded in 1904 and best known for brands such as Colombiana and Lux, continues normal operations. OAL reiterated its commitment to Colombia and said it will pursue growth in the region from its domestic base.
