Two Colombian soldiers were killed in an ambush carried out by the Clan del Golfo in the rural area of Cañasgordas, Antioquia. The soldiers were conducting patrol and security operations when they were attacked by gunfire. Despite receiving medical attention, both soldiers succumbed to their injuries. Authorities have attributed the attack to the Clan del Golfo, a criminal group active in the region. The incident occurred in the early hours of the day in the La Esperanza area of Cañasgordas municipality. This attack marks another violent episode targeting military personnel in Antioquia.
