A rifle-wielding gunman opened fire during a morning mass at Annunciation Catholic School in south Minneapolis on Wednesday, killing two children, ages 8 and 10, and wounding at least 17 other people before fatally shooting himself, police said. The attack began around 8:20 a.m., minutes after the kindergarten-through-eighth-grade school’s weekly service started, and lasted several minutes as the assailant fired dozens of rounds through the church’s stained-glass windows.
