A DuPage County judge on Sunday ordered Steven Weisberg, the 58-year-old owner of Flavor Frenzy in Addison, Illinois, held without pre-trial release on charges that he secretly filmed patrons and employees, including minors, in the ice-cream shop’s restroom. Prosecutors said an anonymous complaint led police to discover a camera concealed in a fake electrical outlet. A court-authorized search of Weisberg’s phone retrieved 11 deleted videos depicting six individuals; at least three were employees, one of them a 16-year-old girl asked to model company T-shirts. Since Weisberg’s arrest on Friday, four more teenage workers have told police he asked them to undress for photographs. The investigation remains open, and authorities are seeking additional information as they prepare for Weisberg’s next hearing on Sept. 15.
