Las Vegas police have arrested Quenton Marselles Brown, the 57-year-old father of Boston Celtics guard and 2024 NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown, on suspicion of attempted murder. Investigators say Brown and a youth football coach argued over a parking space at All American Park on Wednesday night. The dispute allegedly escalated when Brown stabbed the coach in the stomach before leaving the scene. Officers later located and detained Brown, while the victim was taken to a hospital for surgery and is expected to recover. Jail records show Brown faces a single felony count of attempted murder and is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Thursday afternoon. No attorney for Brown was listed. The Celtics and Jaylen Brown have not commented on the arrest.
