Alfred A. Knopf said on Sunday that it will release a posthumous memoir by Virginia Giuffre, one of Jeffrey Epstein’s most prominent accusers, on Oct. 21. The 400-page book, titled “Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice,” was completed before Giuffre’s death in April and was co-written with journalist Amy Wallace. Giuffre, 41, died by suicide on April 25, weeks after a serious car accident in Australia. In an email to Wallace dated April 1, she asked that the manuscript be published “regardless” of her circumstances, calling the work essential to exposing cross-border trafficking failures. Knopf said the text underwent legal vetting and fact-checking before being approved for publication. According to the publisher, the memoir contains “intimate, disturbing and heartbreaking” details of Giuffre’s dealings with Epstein, his former associate Ghislaine Maxwell and several well-known figures, including Britain’s Prince Andrew. Giuffre accused the prince of sexually abusing her when she was 17; he has denied wrongdoing but paid an undisclosed sum—reported to be about $16 million—in a 2022 out-of-court settlement. Giuffre’s allegations helped bring renewed scrutiny to Epstein’s network after the financier’s 2019 jailhouse suicide and Maxwell’s 20-year trafficking sentence in 2021. Knopf said the forthcoming book does not level new accusations against former U.S. president Donald Trump, whom Giuffre had once worked near at Mar-a-Lago, but it does address high-profile associates of Epstein in greater detail than previously published accounts.
