Botswana’s Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo marked his return to the professional circuit by winning the men’s 200 meters at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon, clocking a world-leading 19.76 seconds. The 21-year-old held off the United States’ Courtney Lindsey, who posted a season-best 19.87 seconds, while the Dominican Republic’s Alexander Ogando finished third in 19.94. Distance events also produced fast times at the Eugene Diamond League stop. Ethiopia’s Biniam Mehary captured the men’s 10,000 meters in 26:43.82, edging compatriots Berihu Aregawi (26:43.84) and Olympic champion Selemon Barega (26:44.13) in a sweep for the nation and establishing another 2025 world lead.
