Tom Fitton Alleges Obama-Era Intel Rigged Russia-Trump Report Using Steele Dossier; Trump Plans Declassification Amid Durham Delays

Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, has accused the Obama-era FBI and CIA of fabricating a top-secret intelligence community assessment to support the Steele dossier and undermine former President Donald Trump. According to Fitton, the intelligence report was rigged from the outset, with former CIA Director John Brennan allegedly announcing a 'strong consensus' on Russia-Trump collusion before analysts convened. Fitton claims the FBI and Clinton campaign jointly funded the Steele dossier, which he describes as full of falsehoods and smears against Trump. The intelligence assessment was reportedly shared with around 200 officials, facilitating unauthorized leaks. Fitton further alleges that conflicting evidence was deliberately omitted from the report to promote the narrative that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted Trump elected. Former President Trump has stated he intends to declassify two documents that former Special Counsel John Durham did not release: an annex revealing the FBI ignored new intelligence on Hillary Clinton's emails and an intercept showing Clinton approved the Russia investigation. Trump criticized former Attorney General Bill Barr and Durham for delaying these disclosures. Additionally, a secret meeting has reportedly led to the release of numerous documents related to the Trump-Russia investigation.
