The Bank of France expects the country’s economy to expand 0.3% in the third quarter of 2025, matching the pace it now estimates for the previous quarter. The projection, released Monday in the central bank’s monthly survey of about 8,500 business leaders, suggests a steady rebound from the 0.1% growth recorded in the first three months of the year. According to the survey, activity in manufacturing and market services—particularly accommodation-food services and business services—continues to underpin output, while energy production remains weak. Executives also reported fewer supply-chain bottlenecks and lower perceived uncertainty, though the central bank noted that industry remains more exposed to external risks, including recently imposed U.S. tariffs. The latest reading supports the bank’s view that France is on a moderate but resilient growth trajectory heading into the autumn.
