SFR introduced its Box 10+ router on 10 July, marking the operator’s first hardware upgrade since 2022 and bringing it into line with French rivals that have already adopted Wi-Fi 7. The tri-band device supports the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands and promises symmetrical fiber speeds of up to 8 Gbit/s. The unit comes with up to two Wi-Fi 7 repeaters and includes four Ethernet ports—three at 1 Gbit/s and one at 10 Gbit/s. SFR also integrated a Thread module, positioning the box as a potential hub for connected-home devices without the need for an external gateway. An e-ink touchscreen, recycled-plastic housing and energy-saving modes are designed to cut power use and boost accessibility, features developed with the association HandiCaPZéro. Existing SFR customers will be able to order the Box 10+ later this summer, ahead of a broader commercial rollout scheduled for September. Pricing has not yet been announced.
