AC Milan has made an opening €15 million offer to sign 22-year-old right-back Guéla Doué from RC Strasbourg, according to multiple reports citing L’Équipe and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano. Strasbourg, controlled by the BlueCo consortium, has turned down the proposal and indicated it does not plan to sell the Ivory Coast international this summer. Romano reports the French club values Doué at about €35 million, well above Milan’s initial bid. Manager Massimiliano Allegri is seeking defensive reinforcements after the departure of Kyle Walker and views Doué’s versatility—he can operate as a full-back or on the right side of a back three—as a good fit for his system. Doué, under contract until 2029, played a key role in Strasbourg’s strong Ligue 1 campaign last season.
