Virtuos, the studio known for co-creating the 2025 hit game Oblivion Remastered, is undergoing a restructuring process that has resulted in mass layoffs. The company is cutting approximately 270 to 300 jobs, which represents about 7% of its workforce. The layoffs affect various locations, including fewer than 10 employees in France, where the core team for Oblivion Remastered is based. This restructuring comes amid reports of workforce reductions at other game developers, such as Bulkhead, the studio behind Wardogs.
