➡️ https://t.co/WvJWn6pGGS https://t.co/qna1LPh452

Nick Kyrgios said in a TalkSport interview on 8 July that he is finalising plans to face women’s world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in a mixed-gender exhibition later this year at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown event in Hong Kong. The Australian, a former Wimbledon finalist, described the contest as a modern “Battle of the Sexes” and indicated the match would follow UTS’s format of four eight-minute quarters. To balance the matchup, Kyrgios said he would be limited to one serve per point and play on a slightly smaller court, conditions he believes will offset his power advantage. Sabalenka, a three-time Grand Slam champion currently competing at Wimbledon, has not publicly commented on the proposal but is understood to be in discussions. The exhibition would echo the 1973 showdown in which Billie Jean King defeated Bobby Riggs, a match that drew 90 million television viewers and became a landmark for gender equality in sport. Kyrgios, 30, has played only a handful of matches this season because of injuries, while Sabalenka is at the peak of her career, adding intrigue to the planned encounter.
