Wimbledon confirmed its singles quarter-final line-ups on Monday, leaving eight contenders in each draw as the grass-court major moves into its decisive stages. Liudmila Samsonova extended her unbeaten run at the tournament, defeating Spain’s Jessica Bouzas Maneiro 7-5, 7-5 to reach the last eight of a Grand Slam for the first time. Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic also broke new ground, overcoming Ekaterina Alexandrova 7-6(4), 6-4. Earlier, 18-year-old Mirra Andreeva eased past Emma Navarro 6-2, 6-3, while world No. 1 Iga Swiatek dispatched Clara Tauson 6-4, 6-1. With defending champion Markéta Vondroušová already out, the women’s event is guaranteed a new title-holder. On the men’s side, Novak Djokovic rallied past Australia’s Alex de Miñaur 1-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to join top seeds Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner in the quarter-finals. Victories by Flavio Cobolli, Ben Shelton and others completed a last-eight cast that features seven nations. Quarter-final play is scheduled to begin Tuesday on Centre Court, with the finals set for 12–13 July at the All England Club.
