Bihar Forms SIT to Probe Businessman Gopal Khemka's Murder; Police Given Free Hand, CCTV Used, Says Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary

The Bihar government has taken decisive steps following the murder of businessman Gopal Khemka in Patna. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) comprising the State Task Force (STF) and Patna police has been formed to probe the case. Authorities have located CCTV footage and are analyzing clues from the crime scene, including details about the motorcycle used and the shooter's description. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi emphasized that the police have been given full freedom to act and that no criminals involved will be spared. Bihar Police Chief Vinay Kumar confirmed the ongoing investigation and highlighted efforts to control crime in the state, including the campaign to seize assets of criminals. Additional government officials, including Minister Mangal Panday and Deputy CM Vijay Sinha, reiterated the commitment to swift action against offenders. The investigation remains active under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, with authorities probing all angles to ensure justice.
