A Gurugram district court on Friday placed Deepak Yadav, the father of 25-year-old former tennis player Radhika Yadav, in police custody for one day in connection with her murder. Investigators had requested a two-day remand to question him further, but the court limited custody to 24 hours. Gurugram Police told reporters that they are examining “all possible angles,” including a family dispute over a tennis academy run by the victim, which officers say may have angered the accused. Deepak Yadav was taken for a medical examination before being produced in court and will be interrogated on Saturday under the remand order.
