India Highlights Operation Sindoor Success With S-400 Defense, Jaish-e-Mohammed Strike, YLC-8E Radar Destroyed, and Modi's Counter-Terrorism Doctrine
The Indian military has highlighted the outcomes and strategic implications of Operation Sindoor, a coordinated multi-dimensional operation targeting Pakistan-based terror organizations. Indian Air Chief Marshal AP Singh claimed that the recently acquired S-400 air defense system played a crucial role in neutralizing threats, including preventing the use of long-range glide bombs by adversaries. The Indian Air Force also conducted precision strikes that damaged the headquarters of the terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed in Bahawalpur, Pakistan, and destroyed a Chinese-made YLC-8E anti-stealth radar at Pakistan's Chunian Air Base, exposing vulnerabilities in Pakistan's air defense network. Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi described the operation as a strategic 'greyzone' conflict, emphasizing the unpredictability and tactical chess-like maneuvers involved. Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan praised the operation as a testament to the synergy among the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking in Bengaluru, underscored the success of Operation Sindoor in destroying terrorist hideouts across the border and framed it as part of India's broader strategic and technological advancement. Meanwhile, opposition voices questioned the timing and veracity of some claims, particularly regarding the Indian Air Force's assertion of downing Pakistani aircraft three months after the conflict ended. The operation marks a shift in India's counter-terrorism doctrine, with Modi declaring an end to the era of terrorism. Additionally, Modi emphasized India's rapid economic growth, technological progress including digital transactions via UPI, and the importance of 'Make in India' standards. The military's actions and political responses reflect ongoing tensions and evolving defense strategies between India and Pakistan.
