Indian diplomats have strongly criticized Pakistan at recent United Nations forums, accusing it of harboring terrorists and fostering cross-border terrorism. At the 59th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Indian diplomat Kshitij Tyagi condemned Pakistan for hosting terrorists, including Osama bin Laden, and conducting state funerals for militants. Tyagi referred to Pakistan as the epicenter of jihadist terrorism and defended India's Operation Sindoor as a defensive and sovereign duty. He also dismissed Pakistan's claims of victimhood as unfounded. Separately, at the UN Security Council, India's Permanent Representative Parvathaneni Harish described Pakistan as a "serial borrower" from the IMF steeped in fanaticism and called for serious consequences for countries fomenting cross-border terrorism. Harish reiterated India's commitment to protecting its citizens and sovereignty. Additionally, Harish addressed the UN General Assembly on the situation in Afghanistan, emphasizing India's historic ties and humanitarian efforts, including the delivery of 50,000 metric tons of wheat, over 330 metric tons of medicines, and provision of 2,000 scholarships, including 600 for women, since August 2021. India abstained from voting on the UNGA resolution on Afghanistan but reaffirmed its dedication to the region's humanitarian and developmental needs.

"It is India which actively sponsors, aids and abets terrorism in my country and beyond. Ironic that India, which itself brought the Jammu and Kashmir dispute to the Security Council, refuses to implement the resolutions", #Pakistan's DPR @usmanjadoon_fsp hits back during RoR at https://t.co/RlDB406pnh
