A video showing Maharashtra Minister Sanjay Shirsat sitting beside a bag filled with cash has gone viral, prompting widespread reactions from political leaders. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray criticized Shirsat, questioning his state of intoxication and highlighting the presence of cash boxes in the footage. Shirsat defended himself, stating he was at home with his dog after returning from travel and claimed the video was part of a well-planned conspiracy. Congress leaders Bhai Jagtap and Nana Patole also commented on the video, while Minister Yogesh Ramdas Kadam stated that only Sanjay Shirsat should provide explanations regarding the incident. The controversy follows an earlier viral video allegedly showing a Shiv Sena MLA physically assaulting an employee at the MLAs' hostel canteen, which Thackeray also referenced in his remarks.
