Tesla Inc. has entered India’s charging-infrastructure market, inaugurating its first domestic facility at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. The site is equipped with four V4 supercharging stalls for direct-current fast charging and four alternating-current destination chargers, giving the U.S. automaker its initial foothold in servicing owners locally. Separately, the company plans to open an experience centre in New Delhi on 11 August, marking its second retail outlet in the country. The twin moves signal Tesla’s accelerating push to establish sales and support operations in the world’s third-largest automobile market ahead of expected vehicle imports and potential local assembly.
