Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami spent the morning of 6 July touring Jim Corbett National Park in Ramnagar, undertaking a jungle safari through the park’s Dhela range and meeting frontline forest rangers. The visit included an interaction with the park’s domesticated elephants, a routine part of anti-poaching patrols in the reserve. Dhami also planted fruit-bearing saplings inside the Corbett Tiger Reserve, describing the gesture as symbolic of the state government’s commitment to habitat restoration. “Our Corbett Tiger Reserve is a renowned destination in itself, home to a large population of wildlife. Their protection and conservation …,” the chief minister said, reiterating his administration’s focus on safeguarding biodiversity and promoting eco-tourism in the Himalayan state.
