Yogi Adityanath Leads Guru Purnima Prayers, Holds Public Hearing in Gorakhpur
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked Guru Purnima on Thursday by leading prayers at the Gorakhnath Mandir in his home constituency of Gorakhpur. The Bharatiya Janata Party leader performed a special pooja at the samadhi of Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath, paying homage to the 11th-century saint venerated by the Nath sect to which Adityanath belongs. After the religious ceremonies, the chief minister held a Janta Darshan on the temple grounds, hearing petitions from local residents and directing officials accompanying him to address individual grievances. The exercise is part of his regular outreach programme, which the state government says helps expedite resolution of civic and administrative issues.
