Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted an aerial survey of the Kanwar Yatra route, spanning from Ghaziabad to Bijnor, to review preparations and security arrangements ahead of the pilgrimage. The state government has implemented strict measures to ensure the safety, hygiene, and transparency of food along the route. The Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) has carried out inspections in areas such as Chinhat, collecting samples and testing them for adulteration using mobile testing vans. QR codes have been assigned to restaurants on the route in Lucknow to facilitate feedback on food quality, and expired products have been removed by inspectors. The government has also ordered the closure of meat shops during the Yatra and warned against any attempts to defile food or disrupt the pilgrimage. Special campaigns have been launched statewide to maintain food safety, including the distribution of "Safety App Connect" stickers on food outlets. These measures reflect the administration's focus on maintaining strict security and purity standards for the event scheduled to begin in three days.
