Indonesia has commissioned its first Brawijaya-class multirole patrol ship, the KRI Brawijaya-320, which was delivered by the Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri on July 2, 2025. This advanced frigate, built in Italy, represents a new addition to the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) fleet. The delivery marks the first of two Pattugliatori Polivalenti d'Altura (PPA) Light Plus vessels intended for Indonesia. Meanwhile, the UK-led Carrier Strike Group, which includes the Australian frigate HMAS Sydney, has been operating in Singapore and the Java Sea ahead of Exercise Talisman Sabre 2025. The strike group has also integrated Indonesian fast attack craft KRI Halasan during these operations.
