Four Indian Navy vessels — the guided-missile destroyer INS Delhi, frigate INS Satpura, fleet tanker INS Shakti and corvette INS Kiltan — arrived in Singapore on 17 July as part of the service’s operational deployment to South-East Asia. The ships are commanded by Rear Admiral Susheel Menon, Flag Officer Commanding the Eastern Fleet, and were received by personnel from the Republic of Singapore Navy and India’s High Commission. The port call will include professional exchanges with the Singaporean navy, discussions with academic institutions and community outreach events aimed at strengthening the three-decade defence partnership between the two countries. The visit underscores India’s intent to deepen maritime cooperation across the Indo-Pacific through regular exercises, reciprocal training and coordinated operations.
