Fifteen ministers from Israel's Likud party, including Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, have signed a letter urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to immediately annex the occupied West Bank, also known as Judea and Samaria. The ministers called for the application of Israeli sovereignty and law over the territory before the conclusion of the Knesset's summer session on July 27, 2025. The call for annexation has drawn condemnation from Arab states, which described the proposed action as a dangerous and illegal escalation that entrenches apartheid.
