Crunchyroll said at its Anime Expo 2025 panel that the hit fantasy series “Black Clover” will return with a new television season, its first since the show concluded in March 2021 after 170 episodes. The U.S.-based streaming platform will carry the series exclusively worldwide. Tokyo-based Studio Pierrot, which produced the original run, is attached to animate the upcoming season. Original manga creator Yūki Tabata marked the announcement by noting the franchise’s 10th anniversary and promised a “powered-up” continuation following the 2023 feature film “Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King.” No premiere date was disclosed, but the renewal extends momentum for a property that has sold more than 19 million manga copies globally and built a sizable international audience through prior simulcasts on Crunchyroll and Adult Swim’s Toonami block.
