WWE said contender Ricky Saints has chosen a Falls Count Anywhere stipulation for his NXT North American Championship match against titleholder Ethan Page at the Great American Bash on 12 July in Atlanta. Saints earned the shot by winning the Vanity Project gauntlet and vowed to, in his words, “dog-walk” Page in the open-rule bout. The premium live event will also feature Oba Femi’s latest defense of the NXT Championship against Japanese powerhouse Yoshiki Inamura. Inamura, who arrived in NXT through WWE’s partnership with Pro Wrestling NOAH, received on-air encouragement from Keiji Muto (The Great Muta), Kaito Kiyomiya, Naomichi Marufuji, Ulka Sasaki and WWE women’s champion IYO SKY—underscoring the international interest surrounding the title clash. Separately, WWE announced that the inaugural WWE ID champions will be crowned during GCW’s The Showcase over SummerSlam weekend, expanding the promotion’s belt lineup ahead of its busiest stretch of the year.
