WWE prospect Jasper Troy attacked fellow wrestler Je’Von Evans three times during the 9 July episode of WWE NXT, blindsiding him backstage, in the trainer’s room and later on the arena floor. Between assaults, Troy publicly demanded that the forthcoming NXT Championship bout at the 27 July Great American Bash be changed to a Triple Threat contest that would include him alongside the defending champion and Evans. The repeated ambushes left Evans visibly shaken but he retaliated in the show’s closing segment, keeping the title picture in flux ahead of the premium live event.
