Priscilla Presley was hit with a civil complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court this week by former business partners Brigitte Kruse and Kevin Fialko, who are seeking more than $50 million in damages for alleged fraud, breach of contract and other claims. The pair contend that the 80-year-old widow of Elvis Presley withdrew life-support measures from her daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, in January 2023 to regain control of the Promenade Trust and the Graceland estate. According to the 91-page filing, Presley acted within hours of Lisa Marie’s admission to West Hills Hospital after a cardiac arrest, ignoring an advance directive that called for “prolonging her life.” The plaintiffs say Presley wanted to stop her daughter from removing her as sole trustee of an irrevocable life-insurance trust and declare that she later told associates, “I’m the queen. I’m in charge of Graceland.” Presley’s lawyer, Marty Singer, dismissed the lawsuit as “one of the most shameful, ridiculous, salacious and meritless” cases he has encountered, calling the allegations “malicious character assassination.” Singer added that Lisa Marie’s daughter, actress Riley Keough, “stands behind her grandmother 100 percent.” Medical authorities have not suggested wrongdoing in Lisa Marie’s death; the Los Angeles County medical examiner ruled last year that the 54-year-old died from complications of a small-bowel obstruction. Ownership of Graceland and related rights passed to Keough after a separate estate dispute was settled in 2024. The new suit marks the latest escalation in a two-year legal battle between Presley and Kruse-Fialko. Presley sued the pair in 2024, accusing them of elder abuse and a scheme to seize her finances. The plaintiffs now allege that they invested millions to revive Presley’s brand only to be cut out once her finances stabilized. Both cases are pending.
