Kanye West faces expanded misconduct allegations after his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, filed a second amended complaint in California Superior Court on 10 July. The filing adds sexual battery and federal sex-trafficking claims to earlier assertions of a hostile work environment, assault, stalking and false imprisonment that arose from her employment with the musician between 2021 and 2023. Pisciotta alleges West orally raped her during a 2021 business trip to San Francisco, groped her repeatedly, demanded explicit images, and offered her to others in exchange for sex. She says the rapper lured her with promises of career advancement and continued to harass her after firing her by moving into her apartment complex and ordering security to monitor her movements. The complaint seeks a jury trial, unspecified general and punitive damages, and roughly US$4 million in unpaid wages. The former assistant originally sued West in June 2024 for wrongful termination and sexual harassment. West and his companies have denied those accusations, calling them “baseless” and indicating plans for a countersuit. Representatives for the 48-year-old artist did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the latest allegations.
