A judge has rejected Megan Thee Stallion and management firm Roc Nation’s attempt to dismiss a sexual-harassment and hostile-work-environment lawsuit filed by former cameraman Emilio Garcia, allowing the case to proceed. Garcia alleges he was forced to witness sexually explicit conduct during a 2022 trip to Ibiza and was later terminated in retaliation. The ruling prompted rival rapper Nicki Minaj to hail the decision as “karma” in a series of social-media posts. Minaj, who has long sparred with both Megan and Roc Nation, broadened her criticism to the label’s founder Jay-Z, claiming he owes her up to $200 million stemming from her stake in the Tidal streaming service, and accusing Roc Nation of using “bots” to shape online opinion. Minaj also aligned herself with Demoree Hadley, the daughter of Roc Nation chief executive Desirée Perez. Hadley says her mother unlawfully committed her to psychiatric care and is now facing a company motion to hold her in contempt for violating a gag order. Roc Nation says the daughter’s public comments have triggered thousands of threats against Perez and her legal team. Amid the escalating dispute Minaj said she was temporarily locked out of Instagram and opened a fresh feud with singer SZA after criticising SZA’s former manager, TDE president Terrence “Punch” Henderson. The online clash, which included barbs over streaming numbers and touring success, underscores the widening fallout from Roc Nation’s mounting legal pressures.
