Khaled Mohamed Ali El Hishri, a Libyan man and senior official at the Mitiga prison near Tripoli, has been arrested in Germany on charges related to war crimes and crimes against humanity. Known also as "Al-Buti," El Hishri is accused of ordering or overseeing acts including murder, torture, and rape. The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued the arrest warrant, and German authorities are holding him pending his transfer to The Hague. El Hishri served as a deputy commander of the Libyan Judicial Police in Tripoli and is sought for his alleged involvement in serious violations during the conflict in Libya.
