A Bitcoin wallet dormant for over 14 years has recently transferred its entire holding of 10,000 BTC, valued at approximately $1.09 billion as of July 2025. The wallet originally received the Bitcoin on April 3, 2011, when the price was $0.78 per BTC, totaling around $7,800 at that time. This transfer was executed in a single transaction without prior test transactions. In addition to this, other dormant Bitcoin addresses have also been reactivated in July 2025, including one holding 3,962.62 BTC worth about $468.67 million, and two addresses holding 50 BTC each, valued at approximately $5.9 million each, reactivated after 15.3 years. Smaller dormant addresses containing 330 and 343 BTC were also activated after more than 12 years. These movements mark notable reactivations of long-inactive Bitcoin holdings.
