On August 16 and 17, 2025, several large cryptocurrency transfers involving stablecoins USDT and USDC were recorded across multiple platforms. Tether Treasury transferred 150 million USDT to Kraken, which subsequently moved nearly 100 million USDT to Aave. Additionally, 150 million USDT moved from Bitfinex back to Tether Treasury, then immediately returned to Bitfinex. OKEX transferred approximately 158 million USDT to an unknown wallet, while an unknown wallet sent over 101 million USDT to OKEX. Binance received about 169 million USDC from an unidentified wallet. A whale investor deposited an additional 19.38 million USDC into Hyperliquid to purchase more $HYPE tokens, currently holding 555,608 $HYPE valued at $25.62 million, along with 2.16 million $FARTCOIN worth $2.026 million, and has an open buy order for $HYPE between $45 and $46.05. Furthermore, a whale spent 4,806 ETH (approximately $21.25 million) to acquire 938,489 LINK tokens across five wallets, having previously profited $4.14 million trading ETH during the USDC depeg and timing sales around major market events such as the UST/LUNA crash and SHIB price peaks in 2021.
